In Music, Does Texture Only Apply to Singing Voices?

I'm still trying to distinguish b/w different types of textures. Let's say a band was playing (3 members different musical instruments) with no singing, would that be a polyphonic texture? Help me out please and thank you.In Music, Does Texture Only Apply to Singing Voices?
Music contains texture. Any instrument; Try producing harmony, harmony creates texture. Give some depth to the music. Don't have everyone playing teh same thing, If you have the guitar playing a a progression of G maj. D maj. C major. E min., Don't have the bass playing single notes of G D C E, spice it up, slide into G, play around in the the scale of the key. If you don't know the key, use the formula of Maj. Min. Min. Maj. Maj 7th Min. min. min 7th b5. (The the progression of a major scale in terms of playing chords. Also to determine teh key, Use your cycle/cirlce of 5ths. Hope I could help.
