Have old house with sand texture plaster on all wall, have do I get same texture for repairs?

Go to Lowes and paint sand texture paint additive. Its cheap. I had to do the same recently in my house.Have old house with sand texture plaster on all wall, have do I get same texture for repairs?
Check with a paint store. They will have suggestions. Some people just mix sand with the drywall mud. good luck.
