Does consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?

between dream consciousnesss/sub consciousness/unconsciousness and waking consciousness what is this membraneDoes consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?
Consciousness as quality of awareness is not tangible. Unconsciousness really isn't to be confused with artifical states of unconsciousness. During sleep the brain is alert and working, because it is processing facts gained in the short term memory and transferred to the long term memory. Dreaming is another reason why sleep is not really a state of unconsciousness, one can recall specifics about the dream. Unconsciousness is induced with externally introduced by drugs or injuries, though a brain hemorrage or a stroke can cause a similar state. In cases such as these, memory loss is common or even neurological damage can occur. I wouldn't classify sleep as unconsciousness, the physical aspect of sleep is tangible, as is the state the person is experiencing. But the actual occurance of the process of sleep is not separated by a membrane, as in being awake.Does consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?
no, it is an abstraction, and whomever told you that there is a physical membrane separating the unconscious from the conscious was wrong.
