It shouldn't come off if you use a 'steamer' to loosen the wallpaper 'glue' and peel it off ... but you may 'lose' some of the texturing from washing the wall ... however it shouldn't be too noticeable if you are painting the wall afterwards.Does wall texture come off when removing old wall paper?
It may, I've had that happen.
