What foundation should i use for super oily skin & acne? i want maximum coverage and matte texture? help!?

i have heard about m.a.c.studio tech, which sounds good and bare escentuals could these help? bare minerals, which sounds great but i'm not sure if it will give me the type of coverage i want. my face is oily all day long so i need something thats going to last at the day. i also need something that covers perfectly... and won't make me brake out cuz i have acne. i would appreciate any suggestions you might have. thank you very much! What foundation should i use for super oily skin %26amp; acne? i want maximum coverage and matte texture? help!?
Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural and has awesome wear-ability, but not bare minerals! There products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction! Plus the bismuth adds the shiny appearance, if you want matte this is not the way to go.

I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundations colors (one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 4 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! It really works well!

Plus they offer free shipping!

My skin is very oily too. If you want coverage that lasts, I suggest Boots No. 7 Stay Perfect. This stays on way more than MAC or the famous Revlon Colorstay. It does not irritate your skin either. I am acne prone and since I have started using this, I have not had any acne. BE is a no no for oily skin. It not only causes more oil, it also makes skin irritated and itchy.
Try Bare Minerals it works really good it gives u a really good coverage, I had the same problem with my skin %26amp; once i started using mineral foundation my skin problem improved!

http://www.bareminerals.com/
check out the neutrogena makeup great stuff.
If you want coverage don't get bareminerals, and MAC is great for covering, but when you first start to use it it will make you break out (6 out 6 people i know including me have broken out from it). I use almay, but if you want maximum coverage it's not the best. Try Clinique, that would be best for your skin. Good luck finding something!

A definition of texture within photography?

preferably a long winded answer please :)

stuff about how light enhances and changes texture and how it makes the image look 3DA definition of texture within photography?
Nadine, you really need to do your own homework - google your keywords and make sure you quote the source of your answers.A definition of texture within photography?
No big secret. Photography is all about recording the effects of light.

That effect is modified by three variables. direction, angle to the horizontal and intensity.

Take a trip out into the countryside where you can see rolling hills all around. It's a bright sunny day and it's summer mid day. The sun is overhead so all the light is coming down at near enough 90 degrees to the surface. The hills will appear almost shadowless in almost all directions. Eat your sandwiches, have a sleep and wake up again at 4pm. The sun will have become lower in the sky towards the west. Look around you and you will notice that if you look towards the sun the light will be very bright on the lightest areas and the shadows will be very dark, in some cases, you will be unable to see detail in either. That, in photographic terms is high contrast lighting, also called back lighting or contre jour.

Now slowly tun so that you face 90 degrees to the sun. This side lighting will show up all the rounded or craggy shapes and will give you an interesting visual interpretation of all the details on the hills.. In other words, it will give you a good idea of the texture of the landscape.

Finally, turn your back on the sun and notice that the light coming over your shoulder makes everything look quite textureless and bland. The photographic term is 'Flat'

As the sun goes down lower, you will see different lighting effects on the landscape that will cause the texture to vary.

Intensity of light causes these effects to be more or less noticeable, ie think of the effects of contrast in a/ fog, b/ bright sunshine, c/ cloudy conditions.

These very general principals apply to almost anything you can see..

Try looking at a brick wall with varying light directions. Get a friend to wear a tweed or fur coat and get them to stand still in the sunshine while you analyse the textural quality of the fabric from different angles.

Now, instead of just looking, take photgraphs of what you see. If you want to treat it as a lesson or project, make notes of what you take.

Finally, read as much as you can about taking photographs and don't be in too much of a hurry to assimilate it all at once.

I agree with one of your other replies that processing the image is an important part of traditional photography, but let's be realistic, if your just starting out, understand the basics of current practice and learn about the esoteric in it's own time.

Copper for hair??! Is it true that copper vitamins can change the texture of your hair?

no idea

just kidding

It restores color brightness to the hairCopper for hair??! Is it true that copper vitamins can change the texture of your hair?
Never take more than 2 mg of copper and it needs to be taken with 15 mg zinc, 50 mcg selenium and vitamin E. You can take a LITTLE more zinc and selenium but you have to consider that you are getting some in your daily diet.

biotin, pantothenic acid and choline are also good for hair.

You have to be really careful to not get too much minerals they can be toxic to your system.Copper for hair??! Is it true that copper vitamins can change the texture of your hair?
copper is a mineral, and Joel Wallach says it is needed for the manufacture of a co-factor of hair color. I took some for awhile, and didn't see any difference. One source told me it was possible to get too much and have bad results.
copper is important for many things, but too much is not good for the kidneys..best taken with zinc ie: 25 mg zinc 2.5mg copper. balance with the two is important
i take blackstrap molasses for my hair and general health, its supposed to restore colour to greying hair and is apparently one of the best sources of copper.

Can you tell by the texture, thickness of sperm, that a man is fertile.?

So can you tell by the texture, thickness, or amount of ejaculation, whether you could have kids....without getting medically tested? Can you tell by the texture, thickness of sperm, that a man is fertile.?
They look at sperm count, motility, morphology, volume, fructose level and pH when testing. You can, at home, test your volume and assume from that your statistics for the rest.

It is safe to assume that fructose level and pH would be ok, as long as you have no infections. If you have pain when ejaculating, you have an infection or blockage. They also count your sperm, looking at the amount of normal guys versus abnormal guys, and how well they move. So you would not be able to see that without a microscope.

Outside of testing, you can test your volume and assume it would have a statistical amount of healthy sperm. The average volume is 2mL to 6.5mL, and you usually measure after saving for 72 hours. Use the cup that comes with cough syrup to measure. If you are less than 2mL, you'll need to get medically tested. If greater, you should be able to assume you have a normal amount of sperm. If you are greater than 6.5mL, that is fine, it just means you are loaded.

Now, regardless of your volume, you might have low sperm in it. So the higher the volume the better. The average in the US is 60 million little guys per 1mL. But, you only need 20 million per 1mL to be normal. The more volume you pump out, the better chances your sperm count would be fine for pregnancy.

If you have balls that hang, that is a good sign, as they need to be 2 degrees cooler than 98.6, our body temp, to make healthy sperm. If your balls are close to your body, wear boxers. Do not wear briefs or close clothing. Do not soak in hot water or use saunas. While trying for kids, lets your balls hang and eat healthy. You can only assume you are ok from your volume and that the rest is average.

Without medical testing, you can't be sure, and can only assume from your volume. Can you tell by the texture, thickness of sperm, that a man is fertile.?
    Nope!

That doesn't show the motility of the sperm. The fluid that is ejaculated with the sperm is made in the prostrate. So really doesn't have anything to do with fertility. You could actually take one ejaculate of one man and divide it by ten and impregnate ten women with it.

One would have to look at a sample of sperm under a microscope to really tell how fertile a man is.
i dont think so. I mean my BF couldnt tell he got a over the counter test and found out he had a low sperm count or is sterile but he wont get it check by a doctor. I dont think the thickness or texture matters that just depends on the last time of ejaculation the more you nut the thinner it will be or less comes out.
no you can not. Fertility is measure by the amount of viable sperm you have, not semen. You can only measure that in a lab or doctors office.
No. Only 2-5% of semen is even sperm, the rest is just extra stuff to add volume and to 'texture' the semen.

So when there are no sperm it appears and feels virtually the same.
yes, you actually can. if it is creamy and white, then the man is fertile. if it is clear, you are not fertile.
no.. i dont think so it can be based on thickness and texture of the semen or a sperm in that case to tell that someone is fertile.. you should examine it with a microscope...
buy a microscope squirt some on a piece of paper put the paper under a microscope if it moves its fertile
No - the density of sperm is based on your diet, chemistry etc..

    =/
The proof is in the pudding.
well, if its clear then he has a VERY low sperm count or not, he might be weird...
    Nope.
nope sorry, you have to go get checked out at the doctors.
nope no way of telling by looks

How do you think these cookies will turn out? like in texture..?

    http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Giant-Crisp鈥?/a>

i know it says crisp ...but how crisp?

should i use brown sugar? even though i don't have anyHow do you think these cookies will turn out? like in texture..?
If you use brown sugar instead of white sugar they will be softer. If you want a cookie some where in between crisp and soft you could try using 1/2 the amount of white sugar and substitue brown sugar for the remainder. Remember that you need to ';pack'; the brown sugar to get the correct amount. Go ahead and try the recipe as it is written, I think it will turn out well. How do you think these cookies will turn out? like in texture..?
It all depends on how long you bake the cookies. Take them up a few minutes early if you want them soft and chewy. Cook them for longer if you want them crispier. Just be careful not to burn them.
Probably crisper more like a sugar cookie dough. If you are testing recipe, really shouldn't change it.

Doesn't a cookie recipe with brown sugar plus granulated sugar mixture make for a softer cookie?

Can I combine raw and frozen broccoli in a broccoli salad, or will they look different/ have different texture

I think they will have a different texture when you make them, but I think it will taste great. Can I combine raw and frozen broccoli in a broccoli salad, or will they look different/ have different texture
They will be different because the frozen broccoli is partially cooked. If you blanch the raw broccoli they will be more similar. Can I combine raw and frozen broccoli in a broccoli salad, or will they look different/ have different texture
The frozen broccoli will be real cold.
They will be different in taste, color, and texture. (Unless you froze your own, maybe.) But unless you're making it for the queen, the only thing you really need to watch out for is moisture. The frozen one will be a lot wetter, so be sure you drain it well. And if the broccoli goes into the salad raw, forget it. The frozen is almost always pre-cooked.

..Can I make this texture in GIMP software?
You need to understand that many textures are not ';made'; at all. They are simply photos of everyday things. Textures can include close up photos of things such as cloth patterns. intricate table cloths, a chain link fence, a mud puddle, dirt, ashes, carpet nap, dog or cat fur, patterns of jumbled up string, wood grains in furniture... and on and on and on. Get the idea. These photos are then overlayed onto your main photo and various blend modes and opacity and eraser points used. GIMP will work for this. So just go out and shoot things you would never normally photography, especially things with textures or patterns in them.

It might be possible. i use CS3 photoshop, so i can't say for sure, but taking a new layer and making those scratch markes where you want, making the layer 50% or so transparency, and then doing the color and blurring on other layers. It'll take some practice and patience to get right.

What kind of texture should a womens orgasm have?

is it the same as a man? what is it like?im not sure if ive ever had oneWhat kind of texture should a womens orgasm have?
No, it is not as thick... it is less opaque. As a girl who's experienced this quite a few times in my sexual life I can say that while it is not the violent explosion of my fiancee, it is definitely an explosion of passion that is an experience unlike anything else in the world. Not all women ';ejaculate'; upon an orgasm, but I think it is sad to hear that so many women do not experience an orgasm. This means that their desires are not being met. Does your partner not take his time with you? The female body is like a fine instrument and should be treated as such, only with fine tuning and fingering can a passionate sound be reached. Good luck to you. What kind of texture should a womens orgasm have?
It can be varying degrees of color from translucent to milky white. Watery to a heavy cream consistency. Excretion from none at all to a little or a lot. It can taste ';gamey'; to fruity. It depends on many factors from diet - you taste like what you eat - to taste fruitier eat more natural sugars, medicine, drug and alcohol intake, to physiology, physical activity. etc., etc. There are other orgasms as well, clitoral, g-spot (vaginal), and a-spot which is also vaginal, but comes from a zone deeper in the vagina.

texture? An orgasm cannot have a texture..but I know what you are trying to say. No, not all orgasms are the same, especially between sexes. And also, even better the same person. An orgasm feels like an intense explosion in that area. You would know if you had one.

Does consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?

between dream consciousnesss/sub consciousness/unconsciousness and waking consciousness what is this membraneDoes consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?
Consciousness as quality of awareness is not tangible. Unconsciousness really isn't to be confused with artifical states of unconsciousness. During sleep the brain is alert and working, because it is processing facts gained in the short term memory and transferred to the long term memory. Dreaming is another reason why sleep is not really a state of unconsciousness, one can recall specifics about the dream. Unconsciousness is induced with externally introduced by drugs or injuries, though a brain hemorrage or a stroke can cause a similar state. In cases such as these, memory loss is common or even neurological damage can occur. I wouldn't classify sleep as unconsciousness, the physical aspect of sleep is tangible, as is the state the person is experiencing. But the actual occurance of the process of sleep is not separated by a membrane, as in being awake.Does consciousness have texture,it is said there is a film /membrane?
no, it is an abstraction, and whomever told you that there is a physical membrane separating the unconscious from the conscious was wrong.

You can use beer, raw egg or mayonaise and let it set for half an hour before washing ... amazing - or you can henna it and it will do great

cross it to itself. If it is homozygous, none of the resulting seeds will be wrinkled. In pea plants, smooth seed texture is dominante over wrinkled seed texture.?
By self pollinating the plant. If a homozygous recessive trait is among the offspring, the parent was heterzygous.
Cross the plant with another smooth producer this smooth producer should be a known homozygous. Over several tries (cross breeding) if the pea plant only produces smooth it is Homozygous, if not it is heterozygous
Allow the plant to pollinate itself, or fertilize the plant with its own gametes manually. If any wrinkled offspring appear than it is clearly heterozygous.

I usually keep it in the freezer until I'm ready to use it. Clay is thick and clinging and drains badly. Potting soil is light in texture and good for young plants, and topsoil is the ordinary mix that you get on the top foot of ground. It can be clay, or it can be lighter, through to sandy. Topsoil is not a definition - it's a description.

The ideal red velvet cake is tender, moist, and fluffy. There should also be a hint of cocoa.Buttermilk is a common ingredient in red velvet cakes- which gives it its characteristic moistness. Buttermilk also reacts with the baking soda and baking powder for the batter to rise- thus, giving the cake a less dense, and fluffier texture... I do not know what colonial cobblestone looks like, but if you have the color swatch you should go 2 shades up or down from that shade. With black and maroon you may just want to use a flat beige.

What you want to do is use a bitmap texture, basically, use a pre-existing bitmap as a texture. Of course, start making your texture in Window%26gt;Rendering%26gt;Hypershade. First, make a simple texture node consisting of the shader you want (ie., Lambert for a basic diffuse surface). Be sure to double-click on this node and rename it to ';CerealBoxTitle'; or something, so that you don't lose track of it. Then in the left bin of the Hypershade, choose 2D texture%26gt;File and adjust its properties. Next, connect the color output of the File node to the color input of the Lambert node, and you're done.

Change in texture and nature of hair after childbirth.?

Had straight hair before pregnancy, now curly. Is it caused by any deficiency? Any cure?Change in texture and nature of hair after childbirth.?
    it happened out of negligence...

wash your hair twice a week... with a good shampoo followed by a conditioner...

comb your hair wet with coarse-comb while smeared with conditioner... leave for 2min... then rinse...

apply coconut oil or almond oil or some other oil... on the previous night before shampooing and massage roots... twice a week... without fail...Change in texture and nature of hair after childbirth.?
After childbirth, your body is trying to regulate itself back to its original form. After I had my son, my hard became tangled easily. I just changed Conditioners and so far so good.

  • Does hair weave have to match your natural hair's texture?

Unless your hair is going to be completely hidden under the weave, it should match your texture. You dont want it to LOOK like you have a weave, you want a weave to look as natural as possible. I'd say go for the same texture or go curly to hide your texture (if it doesnt match)Does hair weave have to match your natural hair's texture?
It depends, if you're getting a full weave, that leaves none of you're own hair out, then no, it doesn't have to match your natural texture. But if you are leaving some of your hair out, and say you want a curly weave, but you're hair is straight, it's not going to work out, and people will know that it's not you're hair. And that defeats the whole purpose of having a weave in the first place.Does hair weave have to match your natural hair's texture?
well you want it too becuz it might look weird and noticable when you look at it but you DONT have tooo
Not completely, but generally it looks a lot more realistic if it is similar. if you have roots with a really coarse texture and have a weave that has a very smooth fine texture the difference will be very noticeable. I would encourage you to talk to a hairdresser about it to be honest, they would be able to suggest what would suit your hair type the most.
The weave should resemble your hair texture if you choose to leave out some of your own hair, but most times your stylist can make your hair look like that weave with the right curling or straightening methods. But if your weaving your hair with a closing and your not leaving in visible hair out , it doesn't matter what texture or color you use, because your natural hair wont be seen. Hope this helped you out

To: Sanctuar..- If your hair was in that condition after your weave, there are reasons behind that. By suggesting strand by strand, your looking at hair breakage and damage in the future. FROM THE ROOT...yes, it may look nice but in the end after a few applications your hair will be damage and broken off at the scalp. Especially if you dont have a skilled technician doing the application.

Anything being fused onto the hair isnt good

By putting extra weight on the few strands of your hair, that the hair can't hold, your pulling, combing and styling the hair, not noticing little by little your breaking your hair off

Weaving may not be the most versatile weaving method but it is the safest, do you actually think fusing/bonding or attaching microbeads to strands of your hair is less damaging that a needle and thread?

Your problem is that, if your natural hair was tangled and matted, in less than two months, that means you need to have some maintainence done to your own hair.If you have split ends or your growing out a relaxer, you need to get rid of those dead ends and if you haven't gotten a deep conditioner or hair treatment your due for one , Maybe your stylist didnt braid your hair properly. Most people who hair mat up on them under a weave, means they kept it in too long and when your hair grows, it mats up together with all the new growth and dirt.

Last thing, if you tried to shampoo your hair by yourself, that is the reason you didnt get a good wash, especially if you don't have experience wearing weaves, leave that to your stylist
Yes, it's best to match, but might I also suggest NOT to go with a hair weave. I just had a hair weave in for less than two months, and it drove me crazy. It's incrediably itchy, unsanitary, and it's almost impossible to get in the weave and shampoo. I just got the weave out yesterday...it was disgusting. My normal hair was so tangled, matted and damaged. My scalp was dirty from not having gotten proper cleaning.

You will have to pay a little more, but I would suggest strand by strand Hairlocs or microbead (what I got). Although microbead hurts the first week, and is hard to sleep on, and does become a little itchy, it's not near to the extent of the weave, and you can wash and clean your scalp fine with them in because they are bonded to each of your strands and very accesible.

If you really don't want to pay more, then yes, get the hair weave to match your natural hair's texture, unless you are going wavy, it isn't as noticeable. But if the hair is not your texture to begin with, depending on the type used, it will usually get worse and worse with each consecutive wash.
well it doesnt HAVE to match your hair colour if you dotn want it too but if you want it to look real get the same texture

Does the texture(Nappy-ness as i call it) affect the way waves can come out?

(WAVES AS IN THE HAIR STYLE)

Say if someone has extremly coarse nappy hair and he get waves would it be the same exact looking waves as someone with less coarse nappy hair that got waves?Does the texture(Nappy-ness as i call it) affect the way waves can come out?
Some people think that it's harder for people with nappy hair to get waves. If that person with nappy hair knows the right methods and knows what products to use he is actually more likely to have fresh spinnin waves.

First of all, people with nappy hair should use a medium or hard brush. They should also be sure to use a pomade that is thick enough to hold their hair down. Dax (in a red can) and Murrays (in an orange can) are the thickest that I can think of. People with smooth hair should generally stick to soft brushes and carrot cream or pink moisturizer.

Wave caps and durags genarally do the same thing. The difference between them is wave caps are thinner and looser so some might argue that it's best to get a durag because it's thicker and has an adjustable tie. In my opinion durags aren't that good for weighing down the top part of your hair. What I do is wear a wave cap underneath the durag at night.

Brushing is what really developes peoples' waves. The only thing that pomades and durags are good for is weighing your hair down to make your waves more visible. A wave is just a laid out curl on your head. Durags are also good for protecting your pattern while you sleep. You can find more info, methods and product reviews at http://360waves.net/forums/index.php?sho鈥?/a>

We painted burlap once with a little bit of paint in latex glazing liquid. It gave a very interesting effect. Whoa to whoever tries to remove the burlap.I have wallpaper that has a burlap texture how can i paint it or add color to it?
If you like the pattern you can use a color glaze and wash over the wallpaper. But be careful what you do because moisture can loosen wallpaper. If painting it is what you want. Use a wallcovering primer first then paint. You will need a 3/4 or 1 inch roller cover and then you could wash some other contrasting glaze color over.
Paint it with a thick roller for the base colour then use a smooth gloss roller with another colour so that only the raised part is coloured.

Texture, composition and formed of igneous rocks?

A igneous rock has an aphanitic matrix (groundmass) of (Na rich) Plagioclase Feldspar with large Pyroxene crystals (about 20% of rock) in it.

    a) How would you classify this rock in terms of texture?

    b) How would you classify this rock in terms of composition?

    c) How could this rock be formed?Texture, composition and formed of igneous rocks?
I would refer to the texture as Prophyritic (Aphanitic texture with larger inclusions).

I would refer to the composition as you described - plagioclase with pyroxene inclusions

This rock would be formed, probably in a volcanic vent or tube (the pyroxene portion) which would allow crystal growth. Some follow on volcanic activity would then expell the rock into an environment in which it would cool more quickly (the aphanitic plagioclase portion). Also, if you look at Bowens Reaction Series you see that Pyroxene precipitates at fairly high temperatures, whereas the feldspars are relatively low temperature rocks.

Do you know of any ways to make my hair softer, smoother, less frizzy and all together a better texture?

I got a relaxer in 2005 for the 1st time and used to get touch ups every 3 months. I haven't gotten a touch up since March 07 b/c I want to grow my relaxer out but I need to find another chemical free(no texturizer) way to manage my hair and have it straight. Any ideas?Do you know of any ways to make my hair softer, smoother, less frizzy and all together a better texture?
There is no other way except you can go to a salon and get it professionally washed and blow dried- There is nothing wrong with using a straightener, once every 6 months its safe-UNLESS your hair is not in good healthy conditionDo you know of any ways to make my hair softer, smoother, less frizzy and all together a better texture?
Use treseme Condition Smooth and Silky that is what they use in salons and it works great. Also. Use a flat iron. Avanti makes on that conditons your hair at the same time and you can ajust the heat. Use ';Straight sexy hair'; that is the product name. Use their protectent. Then use ice cream smoothing spray. You should have no frizz at all! I bleach my hair all the time and you cant even tell my hair looks so healthy and straight.
try rinsing you hair with vinegar, or fabric freshener like dawny. I use those materials.

Texture medium for a relief painting?

Trying to find a texture medium to put onto canvas, then paint.

Mud/plaster wont work because it will crack and eventually fall off. I have heard of using silica gel, but cannot find it anywhere. Also need to cover a canvas about 6' x 4'. Will be painting over it w/ acrylic and acrylic fluid medium.

It needs to be formable/workable for a short amount of time and dry hard. Also on a budget.

Any ideas?Texture medium for a relief painting?
Liquitex makes several mediums. One is a Stucco, which dries overnight and does not crack. You have a thick porous surface that allows the canvass to seem like paper. Drying time can be speed ed up with a hair dryer. It would take about 5 jars to do the size you are talking about at $12 each.

Liquetex also make an acrylic modeling paste which is less expensive, and dries hard, not porous. It comes in tubs but still requires overnight drying if you are applying it very thick. If this is a school project Liquetex might give it to you as they have a scholarship project program sometimes if you write and say what you need it for.Texture medium for a relief painting?
I also do texture painting I use a product called Atelier Modelling Compound, its great, doesnt crack or chip and I use it on canvas and never had a problem.
Golden makes excellent mediums for this purpose. Look at JerrysArtarama. com, CheapJoes.com, and other on-line art catalogs for cheaper products. Also check your college bookstore, they usually have the lowest prices of all sources. Sounds like fun.

What type of paint is best to use on canvas? With texture?

If your shooting for texture, then you should definitely stay with oils. It stays wetter longer, and is easy to work with as well.

Whether you create texture with brushes or with a painting knife. Oil allows you a personal freedom that is unmatched with other mediums as far as painting on canvass goes. What type of paint is best to use on canvas? With texture?
IN my case to create textures I like the Acrylic painting it give me more freedom to mix with other materialsWhat type of paint is best to use on canvas? With texture?
Well, from personal experience, oil paint is the best paint to use on canvas. It mixes really well, too. You can use acrylic, but I don't think the results will be as good as oil paint.

Hope you get your answer =)
if your new to painting use acrylic..you can still achieve beautiful results..but if you use oil and arent used to it you will come out with a brown grayish blob because the colors mix to easily

any suggestionsFor my photography coursework i need to research a photographer who concentrate on texture?
you need to be looking at 'real' photographers/artist when it come to research for coursework, the amount of people i see , who show there tutor an image , that turn at to be a amateur photographer who just happens to have a website, its a big no-no.

ill give you some name's but I strongly suggest that you get yourself down a good Library, if your not at university, but have one close by, many allow non-students to come and read in the day. there you will find a vast collection of photographers, and some that you cannot find on the internet. and the fact that you found another way other than the web to source your work, will go down very well with your tutor.

Mapplethorpe Robert- his diffrrence in skin texture he shows.

Adams Ansel - textual landscapes ( a bit obvious though)

Sally Gall- her silky dreamy textures.

Black women if you had one wish would you change your natural hair texture?

I see mostly all black women walking around with weaves and relaxers and NEVER showing the natural texture. They make fun of their natural texture constantly. I mean black women, if you had the choice to change your natural God-given hair to another texture. Would you and why?Black women if you had one wish would you change your natural hair texture?
';Girl...you see all these waves in my hair...I have that good hair honey'; haha

Nah. Really, I think a lot of black women wear weaves and relaxers. Because it's easier to manage. As long as their happy...It's cool.Black women if you had one wish would you change your natural hair texture?
ehhh a softer hair texter would be nice. But I keep my hair up. So it's never really nappy. And hair isn't a big deal to me. If I had just one wish....it would be to be with the man of my dreams. (hence the screename) But thats never gonna happen lol
I love my hair , and most folks saying relaxed is easier probably don't know how to take care of their natural hair
I don't think so, if you change the bad(our hair is not bad), then you change the good.
Black women are blessed with the option of changing their texture or wearing it natural.

    I currently have relaxed hair.

However, I credit my hair length to wearing it natural with natural emollients
most black women that wear relaxers wear it b/c hair is easier to manage in that state. my hair is in a natural state right now (no relaxer but its up in braids) believe me it was hard for my hair dresser to braid my thick hair.

I like my hair the way it is b/c I went to a school that was mostly white students and u wouldn't believe how many white girls complain about their hair and how they wish they could do things to their hair that some black women do. so there are some pros and cons on both sides
well my natural texture is fine. and i can work with it. but it would look a little different and not in a good way. yes i do have a perm and there is nothing wrong with that, i wouldn't waste a wish on something stupid like hair texture.

*just because you have a perm doesn't mean i hate my hair. i agree with spoons, it simply is easier to manage.
Well, I always get my hair relaxed, and I've never worn a weave, and will never wear one. Weaves damage your hair. But anyway, if the decision was up to me, I wouldn't change my natural hair, the form of it. It was my mom who made me get a relaxer at 10 yrs old, and I had no choice. But I liked it. With a relaxer, my hair is easier to manage. My hair is about 2 inches past my shoulders, so I guess you could say I have ';good hair'; but I don't like that term that much. I like my hair and I'm proud of it. =)
i like my natural hair... its always been soft and thick which i like. plus its pretty versetile. I would change it but if i had to it would still be curly but like biracial curly... where its pretty frizzy and grows a bit quicker. My hair used to have that texture but it changed over time.

kdanielle86: I totally agree... one time a friend of mine (who is white) actually told me she wished she had my hair. Some people do wish to have our hair but black people dont really hear it cuz we try so hard to assimilate to our societies standard of beauty.
just the other day i saw an eritrean girl and she had natural long wavy hair
I would love to have fro
If I had one wish it would not be a cosmetic issue. I love my natural hair texture... as I answered in this identical question, I would loosen my natural texture just a tinch. A tinch is all I need.
It's hard to manage for many others even though it's been working well for you. If a lot of black women could change the texture of their hair. All honestly most of us would. I'm just telling the flat out truth.
no, I wish it was longer..that would be my wish
    I show my natural texture!

    Thats because its naturally B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L...

So why change it!? Im blessed =)
if i was black id have my hair natural, i love that hippy afro 60's look!
    - I recently went natural and know very little about my specific hair type and its nappy alright and I love it and would not change my hair

But I might wish for some Carol's Daughter hair products lol
um...nothing and am not sure if you know but whites also dye and were weaves and Jessica simpson does also she even have her own line of it...so its not just the black race...so am guessing you only have black friends? Anyway my hair is down to my back..because I skip perms.

Also stop making the trolls happy with silly topics like this.

Am proud to have long hair and anyone can get the same.

She is almost 1 and a half years old now, has been spayed, and she has been putting on weight since then. Otherwise everything else seems fairly normal. Is the change in texture normal? My Cocker Spaniel's coat is changing texture is this normal?
They do gain weight when they get fixed. That is normal. As for the changing texture of her coat, that could be due to having it cut too short, but it could be something that would have happened anyway due to hormones and maturity.

At 1 1/2 years old, she is just now ';officially'; a fully grown adult. Remember when you hit about 30 and you couldn't eat cheesecake without it going straight to your hips and your once-straight hair developed a weird cowlick? Same thing with your dog.My Cocker Spaniel's coat is changing texture is this normal?
I owned a cocker and as she got older her fur changed texture of her coat changed dramaticaly by the time she was ten she was curly all over. I think it may just be the bread
how long ago was this?? he could be shedding his winter coat which is of course totally normall a dogs winter coat is more fluffy, thick and soft and thicker and when it loses it winter coat it is more silky/wavy (for some breeds) and a bit thinner and it is about time for dogs to lose there winter coat a=mine is losing it already so brush your dogs every other day or more so that it doesn't shed all over your house! hope this helps!
Unfortunately the spaying will have had a detrimental effect on the coat - cockers coats generally go ';wooly'; after spaying. However, the situation was not helped by the ';sheep-shearing groomer. A Cockers coat should never be shaved, it should be handstripped to keep it in good condition. I would take her to a more experienced groomer in a month or two and see if they can correct the coat by handstripping (be warned it will take a long time for her coat to improve, but it will be worth it). I would also have a strong word with the so called groomer, she does not know her job. Good Luck
give it time, by the end of summer, he will be normal

  • This questions goes to those who are not African American. Do you guys find african american hair texture ugly

Honestly, no. I think it looks light and cottony. It's kinda neat. This questions goes to those who are not African American. Do you guys find african american hair texture ugly
absolutely not! All types of hair are beautiful it's just what you do with it. I love that African American women aren't afraid to do fun things to their hair, more outrageous styles and wearing extensions is for some reason more acceptable for them too...not sure y...I wanna wear them all the time too : ) I just think that the stylist need to educate a little bit more as far as letting them know how much is too much, I've seen too many women with tons of breakage because they want color, relaxer, and a sew in, it just can't happen. This questions goes to those who are not African American. Do you guys find african american hair texture ugly
    That is kind of racist.
no i dont find it ugly, when its not too greasy i think it feels kinda like cotton in a pillow. AND i love how i find its sooo cool and easy to braid with and stuff, see i'm asian i have that asian hair stuff it may look nice but it is sooo difficult to braid and play with cuz its thick and its heavy
yeah i dont like it and obviously african americans dont either coz people like tyra banks, beyonce and really and african american celebrities do anything possible to hide it and change it. i wouldnt say its ugly though
no i dont find it ugly,
if its done right its beautiful wish i knew how to work with it....
I love the curly-coarseness of african-american hair! My little cousin is half-half and it's so adorable to pick it out! It get so long and soft!

Also, my friends, who are black braid up their hair and you can only really do it right with that texture and...oh! I love it sooo much! (and when it's not braided up, I love it too...but maybe it's me being biased about my friends)
i don't like it when its all greasy,

if i had that kind of hair i would afro puff out
nooo. i think its adorable. my friend adam has super tight curls. i think it looks sweet.

What is the stuff i cough up? It has a oatmeal texture and smells bad.?

Its maybe once a month or so and looks and feels like oatmeal but has a bad breath smell to it. Its not flem! What is the stuff i cough up? It has a oatmeal texture and smells bad.?
Go see the doctor. What is the stuff i cough up? It has a oatmeal texture and smells bad.?
This could be a stomach condition, talk to your doctor if you can.

My 10 month old vomits every time he swallows any texture. He is fine with Stage 2 baby food, but not stage 3.?

My son won't eat any textured food without vomiting. I heard there is something called texture therapy to help babies with this. Any idea?

I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?

most babys are born with a curl in there hair but most grow out of it the way i found out was wash my hair and leave it to dry on its own, and it went curl .I had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?
your hair changes as you age...different textures for different stages in life...they say about every 7 years or so...your hair changesI had curly hair when I was a baby, does that mean thats my natural hair texture?
Not really because as you grow your hair changes texture and even color, if you chemically treat your hair that could alter your hair texture, the elements around you can also. i think everyone has a little curl or wave to their hair. some curl it more and some straighten it. for someone with true curly hair you can't miss it because they usually have a lot of it.
No. Hair is a protein strand that grows through an opening (follicle) in the skin. A single hair has a normal life of about 4 or 5 years. That hair then falls out and is replaced with a new hair.

Which means, as you age so does your hair... some even say, every seven years your body (and hair) changes.
Not really. I was born bald and I have hair. Your skin will change too as you age.
some times hair changes while we get older.

most of the people as babys had less dark hair than the hair that the have as aduls...

also curly hair sometimes could be straight or the opposite....

that is because while we get older lots of our hormons are changing...

your natural hair texture is th eone you have now and if you let your hair longer you will find out it!
    no
not really...i had straight hair when i was born till i was 12 years old the my hair started getting wavey naturally.....as long as you havent permed or straighed or do what ever to your hair , the texture now is the natural one.
not necessarily. a lot of times babies are born with certain features that eventually change, like eye colour. but, nine times out of ten, if you have curly hair when your born, it will prob. stay that way
No, baby hair usually isn't your natrual hair texture.
well yes and no because when i was a baby i had jet black curly hair now my hair is coarse
    yes, most likely.

Why do most black women think that their natural hair texture is ugly?

Because we were taught to think that way by our mothers and their mothers and their mothers and so on and so on and so on.........

I have the only kinky head on both sides of my family for six generations back. My mother, who has very soft, fine, curly hair, has always relaxed AND pressed her hair because she thinks that everyone's hair is supposed to be stick-straight. My mother started relaxing and pressing my hair when I was THREE years old. The whole time I was growing up, my mother used to complain about how kinky and nappy my hair was (it really isn't that kinky) and how badly it needed to be straightend all the time. All of the aunts used join in about how horrible my hair was. When I buzzed my hair really short to cut the relaxer out in college, the first thing my mom said was ';you need to put a relaxer in it';. A few years ago when I got really sick and my hair fell out from all the medication, I buzzed it really really short and stopped straightening it. My mom said ';why don't you put a relaxer in it?';. Sigh......

If I could go back in time and do it all over again, I would NEVER EVER straighten my hair. My hair grows really long and so fast I can't keep up with it. Times that I haven't put chemicals in it and have just left it alone, it has gone way down my back. And has been MUCH healthier. Why do most black women think that their natural hair texture is ugly?
. What does having a choice in the way we wear our hair have anything to do with self-hatred? How boring and tired is that? I, for one have kinky hair. It was permed some 5 months ago. Mostly washed out and new growth is always coming in. There are not a lot of styles I can do with my hair right now, only to put it in a ponytail. If I don't treat my hair with a perm, when I comb it my hair breaks off really bad. Now , we do have to admit that the texture of our hair is not as strong as other cultures. In my opnion it is thinner and will snap easily. So to straighten it put some pressure off while combing and brushing. And can create more styles. So, how is that self-hatred. Fortunate for us, that someone came along and developed hair products that aides in softening and gives better manageability, that keeps breakage down to a minimum. Now, black women have longer hair of their own than berfore. Why do most black women think that their natural hair texture is ugly?
mami i don't...i'm growing out my perm now.only 2 or 3 more inches to go and i'm all natural.but i wear it straight majority of the time because the straight pieces and natural pieces together look straggly.

idk why some black women on tv or the internet be like...you need to tame that sh**.or have you ever heard of a brush..no one ever said that to me or around me.people still think i have a perm.but they better not because i'll tell that self-hating bastard off...good day
the same reason most women with curly hair want straight hair and those with straight hair want curly hair

If cotton candy is made from nothing but sugar, how does it get that fluffy texture?

    Heat %26amp; Air

    and .....

    Magic!!!

Cotton candy is one of those remarkable foods that are simple to make, provided you have the right equipment.

To make cotton candy you need five things:

Sugar (coloring and flavoring can be mixed with the sugar)

Heat to melt the sugar into a liquid state

A Spinning Head which uses centrifugal force to force the sugar to the screen

A Screen with very small holes which the liquefied sugar is forced through to form the feathery threads

A bowl or pan to catch the feathery threads.

The sugar is poured into the spinning head which contains heaters located near the screen. As the head spins, it forces the sugar into the heater which melts the sugar into a liquid state. The liquid sugar passes through the small holes in the screen and as soon as it touches the surrounding air, it solidifies into feathery threads which are collected in the pan. A paper stick is used to gather the threads onto a manageable cone by rotating it around the spinning head.If cotton candy is made from nothing but sugar, how does it get that fluffy texture?
A heater melts the sugar and make it liquid. Then, itis spun and cotton candy machine forces the liquid sugar out through tiny holes in the head. The instant the thin threads of sugar hit the air, they cool and re-solidify, so in the bowl of the machine a web of sugar threads develops. The web is easily collected on a paper cone.If cotton candy is made from nothing but sugar, how does it get that fluffy texture?
In a special machine that melts the sugar and spins it into the ';cotton'; texture we are familiar with.
    DNA
shut up and just eat it
Haven't you seen the cooking channel? The sugar melts and is spun around into tiny threads, the dries and forms into that sweet, fairy floss we all know and love...( my kid sis had a cotton candy maker)

    /1
    hot air and spinning
It's not mixing it with air or forcing it through holes that does it. The heat melts the sugar crystal and the centrifugal force stretches it out. Then these stretched fibers pile up.

A similar thing can happen with volcanos. In Hawaii I have seen this happen, the volcano melts the rock, obsidian, volcanic glass, and shoots it up so fast into the cooler air that it stretches just as the sugar does and falls to earth as fine, brittle, sharp fibers. It is called Pele's hair.
    air
    it spends so fast
the sugar is pulled into long very fine threads

as long as these individual threads don't melt (or disolve), they pile together into a fluffy cotton-like structure that is mostly air

if cotton candy gets wet, like in your mouth, it immediately dissolves into a relatively small amount of sugar water

try putting a big hunk of cotton candy into the last ounce of water in your cup, and you can see how easily it dissolves, like sugar, and how little sugar there actually is in a volume of candy
by adding air to the mixture. oxygen
    This is a great site.

Just bought this this week and I hate it. It is like heavy hairspray. I expected it to be more like a texturizing hair gel I use from Regis. But, I have thick, curly, shoulder-length hair so maybe it has to do more with my hair type than with the product itself. Maybe you could call the company or get on their website and see if they would offer you a sample.

If ur white is there a product u can get 2 get th texture of african american hair?

well i really like the really small braids that some african americans have so i was wondering if there was a product that u could buy to make ur hair that texture ??? thanx guysIf ur white is there a product u can get 2 get th texture of african american hair?
Pomade is really great because it doesn't dry up or flake and it takes a few washes to get out.

It's a nice waxy/greasy substance that makes hair look shiny!

My boyfriend uses pomade to get his pompadour styled right (its an Elvis hair-do)

The best brand for what you want to accomplish would be Murray's Pomade and it cost about 3-9 dollars and can be found just about anywhere that hair products are sold.

Oh, and a tip on getting it out.... Use olive oil or dish soap. Most shampoos aren't strong enough unless you get a heavy duty non scented one with no added conditioner.

hope that helps! If ur white is there a product u can get 2 get th texture of african american hair?

If you have kinky hair, the texturizer will smooth the tight curl to form a looser curl or wavy hair.
well texturizers with ur length of hair it will make ur hair come out straight but if ur hair is like really really short like 2-3 inches it will come out wavy and curled when u apply mouse and the texturizer gel ..... u hair it to long it will just come out staight

  • How do you do a old world texture on wall with drywall mud and a trowl? and do you have a picture?

No pictures and not a pro, but I tried to get that affect in a few rooms before, and what I remember most is that you go through alot of mud (joint compound). What I learned:

Start in a closet or inconspicuous area and develope your technique. I used a 12'; towel with about a 1'; bead of mud across the blade. The technique was random drags, some were perpendicular to eachother, others were like making a letter ';C'; motion. The inportant thing is use a good quality (low shrinkage) mud to avoid cracking when it dries.

It does not have to go on thick to get the affect, leave lots of bare wall, it will become more aparent when its sealed and painted. How do you do a old world texture on wall with drywall mud and a trowl? and do you have a picture?

What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?

I am 6 months pregnant with my first child and I was curious what type of hair she would have.

    My Husband:

-My husband is full Swedish(He is from Sweden) and him and his whole family have straight blonde hair

    Me:

-I am half Swedish, a quarter African American, and a quarter Native American and I have light brown hair with very lose curls. And everyone on my Dads side(Native American and African American) has Dark Brown tight curly hair, on my Moms side(Swedish) she and all her family have straight blonde hair

Thank You for your help :)What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?
Wouldn't it be great if we could know what color eyes and hair our children will have? Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing because it truly is luck of the draw and which color genes are more dominant over the others. Good luck! What Color hair and hair Texture will my baby have ?
I have seen anywhere from blonde tight curly hair to strait black hair and anything and everything in between. Cant really count on the type of hair but you can count on having a beautiful child! multiracial children are always beautiful!
depends if your hair gene is recessive are not. if the sweedish one isnt recessive your kid will probably have blonde hair but if it is recessive your kid will have brown hair. Id say 60% blonde 40% brown
The texture I am not so sure, usually dark hair will outweigh the blond, but it could have straight or curly hair. If it is blond it won't be tight curly, but the chances are it will have dark and curly hair,
perhaps dark blond hair because you have brown hair and he has blond hair.....just a thought :)
It's hard to say for sure but the genetic factors would say that the baby has the greatest chance of having brown curly hair and brown eyes. There is a 25% chance that the baby will bear the Swedish traits. The darker hair color is dominant as is the darker eye color. I would bet my money on light brown wavy hair and light brown eyes. The baby may be born with jet black hair or hair so light it is invisible or even none at all. Most babies are born with blue eyes that change to their adult color sometime in the first year. You will not know what the baby will look like until the baby gets closer to two years. So, you have two years of guessing and comparing pictures to enjoy before you will really know.

    Hope that helps
toss a 6 sided coin and you might be right. no one will be able to tell you, just enjoy a happy and healthy pregnancy.
technically you wouldnt know till birth but i would probably think it would come out brown....
I think dark hair is the dominant trait but I'm not sure about the texture. I have naturally wavy hair and my husband's is too but only one of our kids has curly hair. Both my brother and his wife have curly hair but their son's is straight. I do know that the hair your baby is born with will not necessarily be a good indicator of what they will actually have later. Good luck with your pregnancy. I remember having lots of fun dreaming about what my kids would look like too.

I have some sheetrock 1 wall gloss painted 3 walls an ceiling new sheetrock need to spray texture then paint ,?

I assume you are just spraying texture on the ceiling. If that is the case, make sure you prime the bare drywall on the ceiling first. Spray texture is mixed with water, which will make it stick to the ceiling.

If you are going to spray texture on everything, I would prime everything. The gloss wall won't provide adequate adhesion for the texture.

I have uneven skin texture on my face, neck, jawline, and chest. Some help?

I don't get acne anymore, but all over my face, neck, and chest there are these tiny little bumps that don't go away, even after exfoliation. What can i do to get rid of them? I prefer no super-expensive dermatologic treatments though.I have uneven skin texture on my face, neck, jawline, and chest. Some help?
I know exactly what you're talking about! I have barely-there little bumps on my above my chest and collar bone area. You can feel them just under the skin.

What I have used that has helped is a moisturizer. (For me) they seem to show up if my skin is dry. I apply a gentle moisturizer to my face, neck, and right under my collarbone. That seems to make them kind of fade a bit. Drinking lots of water also seems to help.

I also use Spectro Acne Care Gel ';Deep Pore Vanishing Lotion';. It's a little bottle that fits in the palm of your hand (I live in Canada; I'm not sure where you live but if they have it where you are, go get it!)

I love that stuff and it seems to help for the little bumps on my face and neck. I would suggest to keep gently exfoliating, maybe over time they will fade a bit for you.

Hope this helps!I have uneven skin texture on my face, neck, jawline, and chest. Some help?
Other than exfoliation.. it sounds like they're there to stay. I get bumps too, might just be natural skin texture :P we're not airbrushed in real life.

I'm African-American And My Hair Is Rough, Of Course. I've Always Wanted The Smooth Curly Hair. Can You Change The Texture Of Your Hair From Rough To Smooth? If So, How?
You can use sort of, calming conditioners.

Also, buy some straighteners - they often smooth the hair down completely and you can always curl your hair with them too, which is a bonus! Can You Change The Texture Of Your Hair From Rough To Smooth? If So, How?
get a good shampoo or ask a hairstylist
There are many different products you can use. Using Pantene Shine shampoo and conditioner for two weeks can really work wonders. Leave in conditioners like Sunsilk Hydra TLC smooths your hair while hydrating it. For curls you should have a thin curling iron, or you can use old fashions curlers which do less damage to your hair. Develop a routine based on your experience.
well if your hair it dry try using egg whites and mayonaise. then leave it on for at least 20 minutes, but it works best if you put it on wet hair, put saran wrap on your head and a towel then leave it in all night or day. then rinse it out. It might work. it's suppost to make your hair smooth and silky,

    good luck
use a shampoo like dove it really helps
it's a genetic thing so I have no idea. have you checked the hair product section to see if they have any products to do such a thing?
try: ';matrix smooth %26amp; sleek'; shampoo %26amp; conditioner

    or sunsilk brand.
Really, there isn't a way. Your hair is genetically programmed to grow that way meaning your follicles where the hair grows only has the recipe for creating one type of hair. The people you see who are darkish skinned and have the smooth curly hair either have fake hair or they are mixed with a race such as latin, asian, etc. You can really only use moisturizing shampoo, get perms, and add extensions.
PLEASE READ THIS IT IS VERY LONG BUT EXTREMELY HELPFUL!

    I'VE GOT IT!

I am not a hairstylist or anything like that but I know hair lol

I suggest a hydrating shampoo and conditioner at first. Usually they have ';hydration'; in their name so it will be quite easy to find [make sure it is good by reading everything on the bottles] But make sure they are not a 2in1 type of thing.

Get in the shower like you would always do. Clean your body first with the body wash you have. The put shampoo on your hand, it doesnt matter how much just don't put too little. take the hand that your shampoo is not on and take a fourth of the shampoo thats on your other hand and put it on the top of your head. really quickly with your hand, just spread the shampoo out for the top of your head. now, take your hair that is not on your head and fold it once to the top of your head so that that hair is showing its underside. Place the shampoo on the underside. now, just simple tumble your hair with your hands and mix and stir and whatever you do so that the shampoo starts to create the bubbles. make sure you get every single centimeter of your hair though that should do it. after that you must comb your hair with your hands [you should comb it all back] until there is not one bump or knot. now you wash/rinse your hair. the first second when your shampooed hair touches that water you start combing a medium slow pace again. just comb it once in the water thats enough. but keep rinsing until the shampoo is gone. immediatly after that you take your conditioner and squeeze it into your hand [the same amount as your shampoo] and since you said that you had really rough hair i suggest you leave your conditioner in there for about 2-2.5 minutes long. repeat everything you did with the shampoo but stop once you have finished combing your hair. since the ends of the hair are the most malnurished part of your hair which is why people get split ends, you just rub all the ends of your hair for a somewhat long time. comb your hair again. now wash/rinse it all off doing the same wash/rinse steps as the shampoo. now you are done.

what i do is i brush my hair with a comb after i get out of the shower and part it right then and there so my hair grows more naturally and quickly into the partingline i want [and then brush it so its smooth like that of course] and then i blow dry it. if you don't want to part it there its fine but the first day you use this shampoo you should blowdry it. and since you mentioned you were African-American and they typically get frizzy afro like hair when they blow dry it, you should blow dry it a day when you have no plans and are just at home. the rest is up to you.
Hey there! There's an amazing product I found called Biosilk.

    http://www.biosilk.com/

I bought it at Sally Beauty Supply here.. and I've also seen it at Costco.

You just use a little bit and it goes a LONG way! My hair was so silky smooth!!

    Good luck!
    Use different Shampoos and Conditioners.

    Try pantene pro-v. or finesse.

i doubt that your hair will change much, but this may help
Get it deep conditioned regularly. Hmm or go the salon it works!! They can do anything! Pantene can also work but not as good as if you went to the salon or got it deep conditioned regularly. I hope this helps!!
hmm, i would try products and shine spray and gel. maybe straighten it then curl it.
    get a relaxer hair band

Anyone knows if there's a difference in taste and texture between frozen and fresh food? and why?

Food has to be frozen very quickly, usually more quickly than a home freezer can manage. When the water in the food freezes, it forms ice crystals - the longer it takes to freeze completely, the longer the crystals get. If the crystals get long enough, they will pierce the cell walls and destroy the food's texture.

Taste is primarily affected by being stored near other aromatic foods. Freezing slows down odor transfer, but doesn't stop it completely.Anyone knows if there's a difference in taste and texture between frozen and fresh food? and why?
Great question! I couldn't understand why frozen hamburger never tasted quite the same. It seems I was doing it wrong.

There shouldn't be a difference in texture or taste when freezing foods correctly. Here are a few guidelines when freezing foods:

1.Keep foods frozen until you are ready to use them. With meats let them thaw in the fridge. Defrosting in the microwave may alter the taste.

2.Keep foods frozen in their original package

3.Organize your freezer, with oldest foods to the front so they will be used first. I always date mine with a marker.

Freezer burn will definitely alter the taste and texture of the food.
